Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete my account?

If you want to delete your account, go to Settings and select Delete Account. Your account and all data associated with it — including your email address, login credentials, photos, Tworlds, chats, connections, and location data — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Any Tworlds containing one of your photos will also be removed from the other user’s account, because your photo and all data associated with it will no longer be stored by Tworlds.

Why don’t I get a matched picture right away?

The speed at which your picture gets paired depends on how many people are using Tworlds. The more people use Tworlds, the quicker the magic happens. If you’re lucky, there’s a 50% chance your picture will match instantly because someone else before you just created a picture with the same #moment. For the other 50%, it might take a few seconds, minutes, hours, or even longer—depending on when someone else uses the same tag. But trust us, it’ll be worth the wait.

All good things require patience.

If it takes longer and you have notifications turned on, we’ll notify you as soon as your picture is paired. Otherwise, you can check back later, or in the meantime, feel free to try another #moment!

How to delete a tworld in your library.

If you want to clean up your library, you can delete a tworld by holding your finger for a few seconds and then press the X that appears. That specific tworld will then be removed from your timeline. Keep in mind that the tworld iwill still exist in the library of the person you created it with.

Why there aren’t more #moments or can’t I create my own?

Tworlds is at its best when you get an interesting new tworld every time. Because of this, for now, we want to keep the amount of categories low, so they always get used and thus we curate the categories ourselves, we have a ‘Category of the Week’ and we refresh our categories periodically.

How do I suggest new #moments?

If you have any suggestions for new #moments we would love to hear them via info@tworldsapp.com. In the future you should be able to suggest #moments to us even more easily.

Why can I not use photos from my camera roll?

To keep Tworlds honest it is not possible to use a photo from your library or by editing. This puts ‘make-nicer-apps’ like Instagram and other self-marketing filters out of the game and makes that only real and unpolished moments from our daily lives – the images that self-censorship on the social networks do not survive – can be compared as equals. That’s why it also isn’t possible to zoom in to obtain the most realistic human eyeshot.

I saw an inappropriate picture. How do I report/flag this picture?

Because of the Apple, Google and E-mail login, Tworlds proves to be a decent and fun environment. But in case you have the bad luck of bumping into a photo in one of your tworlds of which you think is unacceptable, please report this by using the arrow on the right top of the single tworld and then hit REPORT. The picture will be deleted from your timeline. Then, we’ll check it out and if we believe the picture is indeed unacceptable we will take measures. We reserve the right to remove images without explanation and without notice as well as banning users.

Can I block a user?

Yes you can. Go to your network feed, hit the three dots behind the user, and simply DELETE or REPORT that user.

Why do I have to create an account or sign in with Apple, Google or E-mail?

Signing in provides us basic information; your name, e-mail and profile photo. Although – in first instance – you stay completely anonymous for other users within the Tworlds app, it is important that we are able to reach out to you in case of inappropriate content. This way we can provide a fun and adventurous, yet decent environment. That’s all. So tworld it!

My Google or Apple login is not working.

Please go to common settings of your iPhone, then click Apple or Google, and then switch Tworlds to ‘on’. This should help!

Can I share a tworld via Facebook, Instagram, X, email or text message?

Yes yo can, hit the little arrow in the single tworld and choose the way you want to share the tworld to the world!

The localization of my own picture fails.

Please go to common settings of your iPhone, then click Tworlds, and then allow Tworlds to acces your ‘location’.

The localization of my own picture is incorrect.

Sometimes the localization gets stuck to some place you tworlded before. Please quit the app and start it again. This should help.

Help! I lost all my tworlds!

Try logging out and logging back in. To do so, go to Settings, hit Sign out and log back in. As long as you haven’t accidentally deleted your account or your phone is out of memory you should be fine!
